DAA Universal Magnet Kit for Magazine Holders

The DAA Universal Magnet Kit contains all the parts needed to mount the 48mm pot magnet from Double-Alpha Academy on the front of DAA magazine holders. This lets you retrofit an existing DAA magazine pouch with a magnetic holder where a magazine can be placed for quick access and easily removed again.

At its heart is a 48mm-diameter magnet. Since the individual DAA magazine holders have different designs, the kit includes screws in different lengths, a threaded insert, and a rubber and a steel washer – only some of these parts are needed, depending on the model.

Compatible with:

• DAA X-RAY aluminum magazine holders
• DAA X-RAY polymer magazine holders
• DAA Racer Gen-2 magazine holders
• DAA Alpha-XI magazine holders
• Older DAA Alpha-X and Race Master aluminum magazine holders
• DAA XiP and DAA Racer Gen-1 (plastic, without pre-drilled magnet mounting point – drilling required)

Attention: Installing the magnet on the outside of the Single Stack Racer Pouch also requires a countersunk nut, which is not included in what's included.

Installation:

• X-RAY aluminum – attach using an M4 screw (8mm or 10mm, depending on fit), with the rubber washer between the magazine holder and the magnet.
• X-RAY polymer and Racer Gen-2 – attach using an M4 screw (8mm or 10mm); the steel washer goes between the magazine holder and the magnet and prevents the threaded insert from pulling out.
• Alpha-XI, Alpha-X and Race Master – attach using the M5 countersunk screw, with the rubber washer between the magazine holder and the magnet.
• XiP and Racer Gen-1 – drill a 6.7-6.9mm hole centered 14mm above the bottom edge, insert the threaded insert from the inside, and carefully pull it into place using the M4 screw through the magnet. Then remove the screw, place the rubber washer between the magazine holder and the magnet, and tighten it again.

A drop of thread locker may be used; do not overtighten the screws. To protect against metal shavings and reduce the magnetic force outward, use the DAA Cover for Magnetic Magazine Holder.
