This recoil spring System von DPM is designed to use 3 springs for damping instead of just 2, as in the original recoil spring. 

This third spring creates additional counterpressure just before the slide "bottoms out" against the locking block, slowing it down. 

This is clearly noticeable after installation, even when manually cycling the firearm while unloaded. 

This set includes 3 different recoil spring rates, allowing you to optimally tune your firearm to the shooter and/or the ammunition used:

• Short Spring: 6lbs
• Medium Spring: 7lbs
• Medium/Long Spring: 8lbs
• Long Spring: 9lbs 

This recoil damping system offers the following benefits:

• Longer firearm service life and reduced wear due to lower stress
• Reduced recoil 
• Improved cycling overall, helping prevent feeding problems 
• Better control of the Pistole, allowing faster follow-up shots
• Using a red dot sight also extends its service life, as it is subjected to less stress.
