Tungsten Guide Rod for Glock 17 Gen 5

The tungsten guide rod from Eemann Tech replaces the original guide rod of the Glock 17 Gen 4 or Gen 5 with a high-density tungsten version. Weighing around 55g, it brings significantly more mass than a steel guide rod. The additional mass is located in the front area of the weapon and shifts the center of gravity forward and down – this reduces muzzle flip when firing and allows for more controlled recoil.

The geometry is based on the Eemann Tech Competition Guide Rod (from the Recoil System Kit Glock 17 Gen 5) and is designed to the maximum permissible dimensions within the Glock Gen 4 and Gen 5 platforms. Unlike the original assembly, the guide rod accommodates individual recoil springs of different strengths. This allows the recoil behavior to be specifically tuned to the ammunition used and the shooting style. The included washer/adapter allows for use in Gen 4 and Gen 5 configurations. Installation requires no modifications to the weapon.

Application:

The tungsten guide rod is used for tuning and stabilizing the recoil system and is aimed at sport shooters who want to adjust the recoil behavior of their Glock in dynamic shooting sports (e.g., IPSC) or who shoot with compensators or suppressors. In combination with recoil springs of different strengths, the cycling behavior can also be adapted to various ammunition loads.
