The DPM Mechanical Recoil Reduction System for the Walther PDP with 4.0" and 4.6" barrel lengths replaces the original guide rod and recoil spring inside the pistol, reducing felt recoil through a finely tuned multi-spring system. An additional buffer spring integrated into the rod builds up back pressure just before the slide's rearward stop, controllably slowing the slide and preventing it from harshly impacting the frame. The result is a smoother cycling action, less muzzle flip, and better control over the firearm. With over 18 adjustment options, the system can be precisely adapted to ammunition strength and shooting style – also ideal for PDP models with threaded barrels and when using compensators.

The decisive factor is the barrel or slide length, not the frame size. The system fits all PDP variants with a 4" barrel, as well as the Pro-SD-Compact version with a 4.6" threaded barrel. For models with 4.5" or 5.0" barrels, the matching DPM variant is available here.

Application:

The system directly replaces the original guide rod with recoil spring and is installed without any further modification to the firearm. Before first use, please observe the manufacturer's installation instructions. The desired spring force is selected to match the ammunition strength by combining outer and buffer springs; readjustment is possible at any time.
