The Wheeler Engineering trigger pull gauge reliably measures the trigger pull weight of pistols, revolvers, rifles and shotguns in the range of 8 ounces to 8 pounds, i.e. roughly 227g to 3600g. A sliding indicator automatically retains the highest value measured, so the release point of a trigger can be read off at leisure.
