The extractor with loaded chamber indicator is an original Glock spare part for the newly designed extractor system of the Gen 6. It grips the case rim, reliably pulls the fired case out of the chamber and, together with the ejector, ensures consistent case ejection. It also serves as a tactile and visible loaded chamber indicator:

If a cartridge is in the chamber, the extractor protrudes noticeably from the slide – so the loading status can be checked at any time with a swipe of the finger.

For Generation 6, Glock has completely redesigned the extractor system: the extractor has been shortened and designed so that it can no longer interfere with the mounting screws of red dot sights. It is removed through an opening on the underside of the slide. This component is therefore not compatible with Gen 1-5 models – the matching extractor for 9mm models up to Gen 5 is also available in our shop.

The extractor is one of the wear parts of every Glock pistol. In case of ejection problems, it is advisable to replace not only the extractor but also the complete extractor depressor plunger assembly for Gen 6, as it tensions the extractor and is equally responsible for functional reliability.
